Any costumes are encouraged (or casual attire) Fasching, also known as the German carnival season, is a festive and vibrant tradition celebrated primarily in southern Germany. It marks the period leading up to Lent and is characterized by parades, colorful costumes, and joyful revelry. A highlight of Fasching is the Maskenball (masked ball), where participants don elaborate masks and costumes to dance, mingle, and embrace the spirit of disguise and merriment.
